The party of retreat and defeat, weakness and vulnerability, tolerance and accomodation.
 
They value peace above freedom.
 
They worship creation not the Creator.
 
They know not the difference between good and evil.
 
Are you properly mired in the guilt of your carbon footprint?
 
Not yet a member of the party faithful?  Here's how to take a position on an issue:
 
If it's good for the country and makes America strong, reject it.
 
If it makes the country weak, support it.
 
Example:
 
Having more domestic sources of oil makes America strong.  Therefore you oppose offshore drilling.
 
Breaking up families and killing unborn children makes America weak.  Therefore you support divorce and abortion.
 
See?  It's easy to be a Democrat!

You Want Change?

If the Democrats win in November, three things will be required of you beginning in January: your money, your property, and your freedom.
 
How's that for change?  Here is their vision for America:
 
1. Total government control.
2. Everybody equally miserable.
 
PS if you want to know what the Democrats have in mind for the country, spend some time in California, especially the Bay Area.
 
Today's question: How many of the states with the highest cost of living are blue states?

Buddy Can Ya Spare a Dime?

The folks at AC Transit considered a fare hike earlier this year but decided instead to place a parcel tax on the November ballot.
 
Note 1: AC Transit provides public bus transportation in Alameda and Contra Costa counties, so mobility-challenged individuals can get to the places they need to go (like schools and social services).
 
Note 2: A parcel tax is a technique used with some success to circumvent Prop 13 and take more money from property owners.
 
Now here is one of the more obvious examples of transfer of wealth from the achievers to the non-achievers.
 
Yes my friends, the Democrats have opened a new front in the battle for transportation justice.

Yesterday I Couldn't Spell Democrat, Now I Are One

The California Assembly and California Senate recently passed AB 2567, which will require CA public shools to commemorate the life and accomplishments of Harvey Milk, the first openly gay city supervisor in San Francisco.  The bill has been sent to the governor for signature.

If signed, May 22nd would become Harvey Milk day.  Childern across the state would be encouraged to celebrate homsexuality and other sexual perversions.

Add that to the indoctrination CA students already receive in left-wing ideology.

Small wonder that schools in CA are among the worst in the country.  The dropout rate is 25%.

But wait!  If we tried to turn things around, and reduce the number of dropouts, who would work for the government?

Your Tax Dollars at Work

The local paper reported today that Caltran and the Alameda County Congestion Management Authority have started construction of a $153 million carpool lane on eastbound I-580 between Pleasanton and Livermore CA.  The purpose of this expenditure is to relieve gridlock on one of the most crowded freeways in the Bay Area.

What a fantastic idea!  Spend all that money so that maybe 1 out of 4 drivers can use the new lane.  Is this an effective use of tax dollars?
 
Several weeks ago, the Contra Costa Transportation Authority, which acts as CMA for Contra Costa County CA, announced a startling discovery: the freeways in CCC are congested!  They noted that one way to reduce congestion was to allow more traffic in the carpool lanes.

So now we have an admission by the experts that our freeways are underutilized.  The simplest and most obvious solution is to eliminate the carpool lanes.  Cost: almost nothing.  Announce on Monday that from here on out anybody can use the diamond lanes.

But no, the glorious leaders at CCTA proposed a multi-billion-dollar project to add more carpool lanes along with a complex system of scanners to collect taxes...ahem...tolls from drivers, using FasTrak cards.
 
What are the odds that the CCTA is run by a bunch of Democrats?

The local paper reported Wednesday that an eighth-grader in Walnut Creek CA has announced his candidacy for president in 2032.
 
Now, when you plan a trip to the moon, you aim not at the moon when you take off, but where it will be when you land.
 
This young Democrat has apparently missed this concept.
 
If his party achieves its goals, there will be no presidency in 2032, and there will be no democracy.
 
A better plan would be to aim for a seat on the Politburo.

Adverse Health Effect of CO2 Revealed

The only verifiable health effect of carbon dioxide is that it causes brain damage in some people and turns them into liberals.  They can't think straight, and they babble incessantly about global warming.
 
Well it's time for these lunatics to walk the talk:
 
1. Call your utility provider and have the gas and electricity to your house disconnected.
2. Surrender the keys to your car.
3. Stop breathing.

To the folks at Town Hall magazine:
 
Sorry my friends, you can't call yourselves conservatives if you use the term "Intelligent Design" (June letters to the editor).  ID is the politically correct form of creationism.  The Democrats, wishing to stomp out all references to God, coined the term so they could handle the subject without touching it.
 
Keep in mind that religion gives people strength and self-confidence.  That's why the Democrats hate it.  If they can eliminate religion, people might become weak, vulnerable, and dependent on the government.

In a recent edition of the local newspaper, a reader complained that America's energy policy has been shaped by the "radical and kooky environmentalists, including the global warming nuts" who are "...out to destroy our freedoms and capitalistic system...."

Sadly, that was our ration of truth for the next few weeks.  Global warming -- a ruse concocted by the Democrats -- is not about protecting the environment but about instituting socialism.
 
The paper, normally a fountain of left-wing propaganda, occasionally prints a dissenting opinion in the name of fairness and balance.
 
Presumably, the editor and publisher have been promised high ranking positions in the Politburo when it comes to office.
